Food poisoning
If humans ingest too much of this bacteria or its spores, for example through food, there is a possibility that this bacteria can produce a toxic substance. This happens with approximately 8% of the Clostridium perfringens bacteria. This poison can cause food poisoning.
Sulphite reducing clostridia
Sulphite-reducing clostridia is a group of Clostridia that includes Clostridium perfringens and Clostridium botulinum.
NutriControl can determine the count of Clostridium perfringens using the counting method. This method is performed in accordance with ISO 7937.
