MALDI-TOF, a technique for Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-Of-Flight mass spectrometry, allows us to identify microorganisms down to the species level. This technique uses a laser beam to ionize microorganisms and measure their mass, resulting in a unique pattern of peaks that is compared with a database to identify the microorganisms. This method significantly accelerates the delivery of results, enabling us to support our customers more efficiently in their microbiological analyses.
