Our laboratory is committed to the highest standards of food safety and environmental responsibility. That's why we also offer PFAS analyses for eggs. This is a crucial step forward in detecting and managing the risks associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which do not occur naturally in the environment and may have potential negative effects on our health and the environment.

How long does a PFAS analysis take?
The turnaround time for PFAS analysis is 10 working days.
What are the costs associated with a PFAS analysis for eggs?
To determine the costs, more information is needed about the number of analyses and eggs. Please contact your account manager or customer service for a price indication.
Is the PFAS analysis service only available to businesses?
Yes, NutriControl only performs analyses for businesses that are registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK number).
How old can the eggs be for a PFAS analysis?
An egg is generally good for about four weeks from the date of lay; therefore, it is wise to send eggs to NutriControl as soon after the lay date as possible.
Do the eggs need to be delivered intact for analysis?
Yes, in principle, whole, non-broken eggs must be supplied for analysis.
How should I deliver the eggs for the PFAS analysis?
Eggs should generally be supplied as a whole, non-broken egg; for other forms of delivery, consultation with customer service is required first.
How many eggs need to be supplied for a PFAS analysis?
Generally, 20 eggs are supplied for a dioxin / PFAS analysis.
What happens to the eggs after the analysis?
Both used and unused eggs are disposed of according to legal regulations.
How is the quality and reliability of the PFAS analysis ensured?
For the PFAS analysis, advanced methodologies and analytical equipment are used to ensure the quality of the analysis results. In addition, NutriControl as a laboratory has the NEN-EN-ISO-17025 accreditation under number L053 and thus possesses an excellent quality system.
What certifications does NutriControl have for performing PFAS analyses?
Although NutriControl has the NEN-EN-ISO-17025 accreditation under number L053 and thus performs many analyses under accreditation, the PFAS analysis itself is not yet accredited. NutriControl is working to obtain accreditation for this analysis.
Can I have products other than eggs tested for PFAS?
No, currently we only perform analyses on the egg matrix. However, we are working hard to make this possible for more products.
